Land Reclamation
Project consisted of sea reclamation of approx. 600 sqm. Works involved the preparation of a number of different precast elements, construction of 3mx3m columns below the main site level, 900mm diameter piles, concrete decking and a 2.5m high wave wall, along the perimeter of the reclaimed area. Works also included the construction of two swimming pools, landscaped decking, balance tanks, pump room and other related works.
Construction of Slipways
Works involve the demolition of the existing slipway and careful removal of the granite blocks, storing them on site for later reuse, and the reconstruction of the same quay whilst retaining the same heritage features.
Quay re-construction
Works involved the demolition and reconstruction of Balluta Bay Quay. This project was fragmented into:
- Fabrication of precast elements
- Demolition and excavation
- Shuttering and steel fixing
- The casting of concrete

We are a family-based, privately owned company that has been set up since 2009. Sammut Marine Ltd. started out as a boatyard, whereby individuals had the facility to store their vessels during the winter season. We started developing and growing year on year and started offering the full range of services a vessel owner requires, from insurance, maintenance of the vessel, and towing. In late 2014, Sammut Marine Ltd started offering commercial marine services such as Mooring installations, installation of pontoons and buoys, quay repairs and other marine concrete related works, diving services, along with other services mentioned below. Sammut Marine Ltd offers services on a 24-hour basis, 7 days a week.

St. Elmo Breakwater
Sammut Marine Ltd. were contracted for the repair works on the coping structure of St. Elmo Breakwater, consisting of the retrieval of submerged hardstone elements, transfer of hardstone elements to breakwater deck, and the installation of hardstone elements.
